Ahead of the 2008 general elections, Francis donated 100 plastic chairs to the Oyarifa ward through the then Ward Coordinator and Ward Secretary. He contributed and helped purchase a KIA Towner pick up to help the NDC’s campaign in the rural communities of Madina. He provides general humanitarian and philanthropic services to his people in Madina Constituency.
2012
ELECTION 2012
During the 2012 Elections, he contributed John Mahama posters and T-shirts to the Oyarifa Ward to support the NDC and on several occasions made the needed funds available to support fuel and other logistics for the campaign. During his work as Public Orientation Icon with the Ministries of Education, Information and Local government and rural development ahead of the 2012 election, he also touched base with grassroots of the NDC party across all districts and encouraged them to have faith in the NDC government.
2016
ELECTIONS 2016
Francis contested the Parliamentary Primaries of the NDC in 2015 and made a huge impact against the then incumbent Hon. Amadu Bukari Sorogho. In an election that many believed Francis was the favorite but lost, he assisted and actively campaigned for the then incumbent. He remains the favorite of many for the 2020 elections on the ticket of the party. He was a representative of the Legal Committee of NDC who monitored Elections 2012 and 2016 in the Eastern Region.
2020
Re-Organisation Towards 2020
Francis was in the thick of affairs supporting in the NDC’s branch-reorganization as well as the 2018 constituency elections in Madina. He was committed financially, logistically and morally to re-organize and re-energize the NDC at the grassroots.

Francis has been a keen follower of the NDC since 1992 as his entire family have been NDC sympathizers. He also took keen interest in the NDC party since 2002 and have always been part of various June 4th Celebrations.
In his final year in the Faculty of Law, 2008, Francis became a Card bearing member of the NDC in the then Abokobi/Madina Constituency and has since been active in Oyarifa ward of the NDC. In his desire to support party activities financially, he picked up a Gold card in 2014 and also volunteered himself to be duly elected and sworn in as Chairman of the Oyarifa Presby Primary "A" branch of the party and was re-elected into the same position in 2017. He is currently a member of the Expended Legal Committee of the NDC. Francis can be described as a grassroots politician whose works have enhanced the party in the constituency.

Substantial Contributions
Lawyer Sosu has substantially contributed to the Oyarifa NDC since 2008 when he first became a member of Madina NDC and reached out to several members with various degrees of available Services including Education, finance and legal.
Substantial Contributions
1. A humanitarian as he is and as part of his social responsibility to his people, Francis has organized and financed NHIS registration for over 800 children and aged people who are members of the NDC.
2. Francis has donated over 2000 copies of his book, Homeless costing GHC30,000 to NDC Youths in Madina to inspire hope in them and challenge them to rise above their limitations.
3. Francis purchased and distributed 100 copies of the NDC Constitution to party executives across Madina and the rural areas.
4. Francis continues to provide free Legal aid to Party faithfuls in problem with the law.
